I have seen how you fought against Joe. That was not bad actually! But you should learn a bit more about duels. The basics: You know how to aim and dodge already. Those skills do not depend on the weapon your are using. About Attacking: It is important whether you appear at the showdown with a melee weapon or a firearm. You need to have a lot of Vigor in order to deal high damage with a melee weapon. For high damage with a firearm you need to practice Shooting. About Defense: To take less damage when facing a firearm, you need good reflexes. If your opponent uses a melee weapon the all important attribute is Toughness. The same applies for your opponents. Now the practice: Have a go at tough Paddy. He is the local roughneck!

Paddy has told his brother Matthew about your fight. He fancies he can easily beat you in a duel. Therefore I have a few more tips for you. About the town: As soon as you become a member of a town you can duel other players. About Challenges: If you challenge another player to a duel it is very important to intimidate your opponent. He should be scared of you the moment he sees you. The better your Appearance the less likely he is to hit you. About Defense: If you are challenged by another player, appearance is not so important, but tactics. If you go about a duel with a cool head and good tactics, your opponent will not strike very often. Now the practice: Duel the agile Matthew, who is just as rough and gruff as his brother Paddy.
