Quests

The search

  • Quest Giver: Sheriff John Fitzburn
  • Prerequisites: Resolve: Introduction (Riot)
  • Requires:
    • Poster 2/2
  • Reward:
    • Broken clay jug
  • Quest Text: <spoiler text="Show Text">Sheriff John Fitzburn: Hello, I'm John Fitzburn and I'm the Sheriff in town. Those were a few good hits you gave that cheating gambler. You seem to be cut out to be a good saloon fighter. I could really use your help. Two scoundrels are causing trouble in the area. They are robbing farmers and ambushing traveling settlers. Could you please put up those posters for me? You can bring back the ones you have left over.

Hint: Look for the job "putting up posters" on the map. In this job you can get the product "poster". It might take a while until you have two, so you have to be a bit patient. It might be a good idea to do some other jobs in between. Quests are a good way to guide your character, but concentrating on them too much is not the most effective way.</spoiler>

  • Epilogue: <spoiler text="Show Epilogue">Sheriff John Fitzburn: Thank you for your help. Here is a little reward. This old clay jug will be a pretty effective weapon until you find a better one.</spoiler>

The petty henchman

  • Quest Giver: Sheriff John Fitzburn
  • Prerequisites: Resolve: Manhunt (The search)
  • Requires:
    • Defeat Sidekick (duel)
  • Reward:
    • 30 Experience points
  • Quest Text: <spoiler text="Show Text">Sheriff John Fitzburn: Putting up the posters was really useful. I've received tips that one of the rascals is hiding in a shed here in town. He's pretty small and will only aim at your arms. With that broken clay jug you will certainly have chances against him. He probably won't have a weapon at all. Go there right away!

Hint: The duelling weapon decides the damage you can do with a hit. A good weapon can make all the difference and might even give you a chance against much stronger players.</spoiler>

  • Epilogue: <spoiler text="Show Epilogue">Sheriff John Fitzburn: Very good, we caught the first criminal.</spoiler>

The search (Part 2)

  • Quest Giver: Sheriff John Fitzburn
  • Prerequisites: Resolve: Manhunt (The petty henchman)
  • Requires:
    • Newspaper *The Western Star* 3/3
  • Reward:
    • 35 Experience points
  • Quest Text: <spoiler text="Show Text">Sheriff John Fitzburn: So far I could not find out anything about the second guy. The newest *The Western Star* newspaper has a picture of him in it. Help sell the newspaper, maybe that will help us gather more information.

Hint: You'll get *The Western Star* newspapers when you work the job Selling newspapers.</spoiler>

  • Epilogue: <spoiler text="Show Epilogue">Sheriff John Fitzburn: Great job. I hope it was worth it.</spoiler>

The mean henchman

  • Quest Giver: Sheriff John Fitzburn
  • Prerequisites: Resolve: Manhunt (The search (Part 2))
  • Requires:
    • Defeat Henchman (duel)
  • Reward:
    • Handcuffs
  • Quest Text: <spoiler text="Show Text">Sheriff John Fitzburn: And again the search was successful. The henchman is supposed to be on the outskirts of the town hiding at a farm. Try to catch him.

Hint: This time you don't get any information about the fighting style. All you can do is work with the advantage of the better weapon. If you lose you should adjust the duelling settings to his style. I'm sure he won't change what he does. That should make you win the duel the next time.</spoiler>

  • Epilogue: <spoiler text="Show Epilogue">Sheriff John Fitzburn: Very good. I'm sure this will help you further on the manhunt.</spoiler>
