Jobs
Currently, there are 127 jobs in the game. All the jobs are sorted in groups of 3 to 6, depending on their type. For instance, the “mining jobs” – silver mining, Mine sulphur, Mine lead, Dig for rare gemstones, Mine saltpeter and prospecting are all found in the same work area. You can find a particular job by using the minimap
To get money and experience points you need to work or duel other players. Each job has different values for wages, experience and luck and by that they all have different advantages. Each job is available on many different spots on the map. It does not matter which one of those spots you work at, the values are the same for each one. The motivation is also the same.

Jobs are shown on the map in a brown circle. Jobs that you are not ready for yet are shown with a transparent picture.

To begin working on a job you have to click on the job symbol on the map.
The above image shows a typical job page. The five pickaxes in the top left section of the page represent your labour points, showing how good you are in this particular job. The two large circles in the bottom represent Danger and job motivation respectively. The right side of the page shows the different times at which you can do the job – 15 seconds, 10 minutes and 1 hour. The rewards are shown in the horizontal bars. By order, they are experience, cash and value of drops. The product drop rates are further down the red bar, given as a percentage

Under the “start” bar, beside the green hammer is the energy requirement for the job. In addition, the distance to the job site is shown in the top-right corner of the page
To begin working you have to select the work duration and click 'OK'. The distance shows the time it takes to reach the job site. Walking there and starting the job are done automatically. You can only work on one job at a time. Once you are done with your work you get a report with the wages and the experience points you have received. If you are lucky you might find an item or two during your work. Every job has risks and you can always get hurt. Working on a job is exhausting. It costs energy points

Cancelling work
Cancelling work
It is always possible to cancel the work you are doing right now or jobs you have queued to be done later on. Just click on the X next to the job. The energy will be automatically refunded. If you cancel a job assignment while walking to the job site, you instantly jump back to the beginning point of your journey. If you cancel the 2nd job in your queue, the 3rd job is pushed forward
It is always possible to cancel the work you are doing right now or jobs you have queued to be done later on. Just click on the X next to the job. You still receive wages and experience for the job, the amount is calculated from the last finished work segment. If you cancel after working 40 minutes, you'll receive payment and experience for 30 minutes. If you cancel after 115 minutes, 60 minutes are used for calculation. If you cancel a job assignment while walking to the job site, you instantly jump back to the beginning point of your journey. If you have the 'Automation' Premium account and you cancel the 2nd job in your queue, your character walks straight to the 3rd job you had selected when he's done with the last job.

Labor points
Every job has 5 skill slots, the job represented above – coal mining, requires 2 x vigor, reflex, tactics and trading. The skill points you have in each slot are added up to give the total labour points you have in the job. They are represented by the pickaxes, which can take the form of three colors – bronze, silver and gold. The green bar under the pickaxes represents the progress towards getting the next pickaxe. When you have all 5 at gold, the bar is full.

To get to the silver level, you have to collect all 5 bronze axes. 5 silver pickaxes are needed to reach the golden level

It must be noted that the pickaxes do not directly affect the cash and experience you get in the job – they are simply a representation for how good you are in a job. The amount of cash, xp and luck values increase, directly affected by the labor points. This increase in rewards is great initially, but as you get more and more lp, the increases become less and less, until they become almost linear
There are only two cases where the pickaxes play a significant role –

#If you have bronze pickaxes, it means you’re relatively unqualified for the job at hand. The danger levels are typically high. As soon as you get the fifth bronze pickaxe, the danger goes down considerably.

#getting all five golden pickaxes in a job gives a bonus, of 50% in finding the job product

There are various ways of gaining extra labour points in a job

#Gear – click the ‘work clothes” button to find the best clothes in your inventory for the job. It is advisable to do research to find out about other pieces of clothing whichc an contribute to a greater increase in lp. You can either buy them in the stores, travelling merchant or procure them over the market. Also, there are set items which give extra skill points, some sets give you more labour points in certain jobs

Job values
#Allan Quatermain’s weapons – this comprises the Allan Quatermain’s adventure knife/revolver and riffle. Having two of the set equipped gives you a +100 labour point bonus in all jobs
Wages
The wages value is a number between 0% and 100%. This number decides how much money you make while working on this job. The higher the number, the more money you can make.

Experience
#Work instructions – these can only be brought on the union pacific shop, under “buffs”.
The experience value is a number between 0% and 100%. This number decides how many experience points you make while working on this job. The higher the number, the more experience points you can gain.

Luck
Rewards
Luck is a number between 0% and 100%. Each time you work on a job you have the chance to find an item. The higher the number the better the items you find will be. Working longer raises the chances to find an item.
Cash
Currently, Jobs are the only known direct source of cash in the game – there are many ways of getting experience and bonds, but money only comes from jobs. All the 23 Billion dollars currently in player's accounts have come from jobs.

Danger
The money you will earn is accurately represented in the bars on the job page – you will earn nothing more, nothing less than the amount specified when you started the job. When motivation drops, the amount of money you can get also drops
Danger is shown with a number between 0% and 100%. Each time you work on a job you run the risk of getting hurt. The higher the danger, the more dangerous the injuries can turn out. The chance that you get hurt is decided by the time you work and by the labor points you have for this job. The longer you work the more risk you run to get hurt.

Motivation
Experience
Motivation is a value between 0% and 100%. This number says how motivated you are to work on this job right now. The starting motivation is 100%. With every hour you do the job the motivation goes down by 3%. The motivation constantly raises by 10 points per day until it reaches the 100% it started with. With a motivation lower than 100% you make less money, less experience points and you find less items. With a motivation of 80% you receive 80% of the money you would have gotten otherwise.

Labor points
Luck
Labor points show how good you are at working on a job. You need at least one labor point to be able to do the job at all. Bringing in more points raises the wages, it lets you find better items and it lowers the risk to hurt yourself badly.

It takes 5 skills to do a job and the skill points of those 5 skills are added up and put towards the difficulty to find out if you are ready to work on this job yet. Other skills have no influence on the work at all. The labor points are calculated by subtracting the difficulty from the skill points.

Example
Danger
For all jobs there is an element of danger. Irrespective of working time, the risk of getting hurt is constant. The level of danger in all jobs is calculated by the labour points you hold in the job.

Tending sheep needs Toughness, Stamina, Leadership and twice Animal instinct. In this example Toughness has been trained to level 3 and Stamina to level 2. With that you bring in:
This picture shows a low danger level – green with a 7% chance of getting hurt – meaning that your chances of injury are low, and if an injury happens, the damage is low.

*3 Toughness
For this job, the labour points are lower – so, the danger is higher at 45%, at yellow
*+2 Stamina
*+0 Leadership
*+0 Animal instinct
*+0 Animal instinct
*------------
*5 Skill points

The difficulty for this job is 7. The means you right now have 5-7 = -2 labor points. You cannot work on this job just yet.
Here, the danger is at its’ maximum, red with a 99% chance of getting hurt

Possibility 1
You get hurt, relative to your health points, so while a person with 2000 Hp can suffer a damage of 400 HP, a person with 14000 Hp can get a damage of 2800 HP. It all depends on the amount of labour points you have in the job
width=355 |
Used skill points
| width=145 |
Difficulty
|
Labor Points

By training Leadership to level 3 you would bring in 3+2+3+0+0 = 8 skill points. That would give you 8-7 = 1 labor points. With that you could work on this job.
For the high end jobs, danger can be cut considerably, from 80% to 40% if you manage to collect all 5 bronze pickaxes. From then on, it will decrease gradually as you amass more lp in the job

Possibility 2
Motivation
width=355 |
Used skill points
| width=145 |
Difficulty
|
Labor Points

By training Animal instinct to level 2 you would bring in 3+2+0+2+2 = 9 skill points. That would give you 9-7 = 2 labor points. With that you could also work on this job.
Motivation affects the rewards you can get from work – the lower the motivation is, the less rewards you get – the rates of luck, cash and experience all go down. The only things which are unaffected is the danger and the chance of finding products.

Possibility 3
In the picture here, the motivation is full – as seen by the four green circles. One circle is removed when the motivation drops bellow 75%. Then, the rewards drop. They will drop again when the motivation crosses 50%
width=355 |
Used skill points
| width=145 |
Difficulty
|
Labor Points

You can also do this job by using attribute points. If you raise Charisma by one point you increase both leadership and Animal instinct by one point. You would bring in 3+2+1+1+1 = 8 skill points. With that you would again have 1 labor points and would be able to work on this job.
#In a 15s job, motivation drops by 2%
#In a 10min job, motivation drops by 4%
#In a 1 hour job, motivation drops by 12%

With time, motivation does not replenish itself. At midnight motivation for all jobs is restored to 100%

There are certain buffs which can be used to restore motivation during the day
