He was insidiously shot from behind. Surely he had many enemies - you should put a price on the heads of those who are potentially guilty. You'll surely think of some mean villains who could know something. You can issue bounties at your town's sheriff

According to the eyewitness account, Hickhok was holding on to something before the Sheriff came to secure the crime scene that morning. The eyewitness reported that he had seen a person meddling with the corpse. There are some shady low lives hanging around, but you won't be able to get them to talk just like that. I believe only brute force will get them to talk. You have to be a member of a town to duel other players.

Alright, I have questioned all scoundrels you have defeated. They said that Hickhok had a hand of poker cards clutched in his hand when he died. The villains of the area took the cards as souvenirs - Bill Hickhok was a bit of a celebrity after all.

Alright, we somehow have to lure the murderer out of his hideout. The best way to do this is to re-enact the situation, hoping that he will react to it. We know that Hickhok was an infamous gunslinger. You can get a good reputation by raising you duel difficulty for bandits - finish off increasingly difficult bandits in order to get the murderer's attention.
