Telegrams are much like Emails and serve as a form of communication between players. They can only be read by the sender and the recipient(s) unless copied to someone else by one of the aforementioned parties. Telegrams can be accessed by clicking a button on the bottom interface menu.

Sending telegrams

There are two ways to send a telegram. You can either open your telegrams and click the "New Telegram" button, or go to the profile of the player you wish to telegram and click the "Send Telegram" button which will automatically fill in the selected player's name in the recipient bar.

Once you have accessed the "New Telegram" window, you will need to fill in a recipient, a subject and text to be included in the telegram. The subject and the body text both have to be at least three characters long.

Certain BB-Codes are supported in telegrams.

Adding recipients

Multiple recipients can be added by separating names with a semicolon (;). These multiple recipients can either by typed manually or added from a list of contacts.

Contacts

To access your contacts list, click "Add recipient" next to the recipients bar. Once this list is open, you can add a new recipient by typing their name in the box provided and clicking "Add". To add each contact as a recipient, simply click their name in the list and they will be added to the recipient box.

At the top of your list of contacts, above the ones you manually added, there will be four default options for adding mass recipients to your telegram:

  • Town members: adds all of your town members as recipients
  • Town leadership: adds all founders and councillors of your town as recipients
  • Alliance members: adds all members of your alliance as recipients
  • Alliance leadership: adds all founders and councillors of towns within your alliance as recipients

Receiving telegrams

When you've got a new telegram, the icon on the menu will flash blue. When you open your telegrams window, the new telegram will appear with the word (new) next to it.

Icons

Next to each telegram in your folder, there will be a small icon next to the subject and also next to the name of your conversational partner.

The icon next to the subject indicates whether the telegram is read or unread by you, and the icon next to the name of your conversational partner indicates whether the telegram is read or unread by your partner.

Actions

Certain actions can be performed upon your telegrams. In order to perform actions on your telegrams, they must be selected.

To select telegrams, you must click the checkbox next to the telegrams you wish to perform actions upon so that a tick appears. You can have multiple telegrams selected at one time. To deselect them, click their checkbox again so that the tick disappears.

You can also click the checkbox next to the words "select all" to select all telegrams on that page.

Deleting

Once you have selected the desired amount of telegrams, click the button marked "Actions", then choose "Delete". All the selected telegrams will be deleted. Once a telegram is deleted, you will not be able to access it again.

You will only delete the telegram from your own folder, and your conversational partner will still be able to see it. If they reply to the telegram after you have deleted it, it will appear back in your inbox.

Archiving

You can also archive telegrams into different folders for ease of access. After selecting which telegrams you want to archive, click the "Actions" button then click "Archive messages". You will then get a list of folders to archive the telegrams into. These folders are:

  • Not archived
  • Other
  • Town
  • Alliance
  • Fort battle
  • Friends

You can jump between folders by clicking the drop down box next to the "Actions" button.

Blocking telegrams

You can add players to a block list in order to prevent them from sending telegrams to you. To add players to this list, go to your telegrams and click the button marked "Block". Then you will be shown a box in which you must type the name of the player you wish to block and then click "Add".

To remove players from your block list, click "delete" next to their name on the list.
