Nizhoni: We need to come up with something else. What if you sneak into their camp unnoticed, destroy their supplies and scare away their horses? That will surely make them leave.

You observe the camp and its guards. Then you wait until nightfall before you enter the camp. You spoil their food crates with some foul-smelling sulfuric acid and are just about to release the horses, as you hear a voice behind you: "Hey, what do you think you're doing?" You turn around and see a man pointing a rifle at you.

Blond, curly hair falls to his shoulders, he has a thick blond beard and wears worn clothes and shoes. He actually looks quite friendly.You explain to him that they established their camp at a place the native people consider a sacred ground and that you merely tried to get them to leave."Oh, I did not know that." He lowers his rifle. "I am Winston by the way. If this is case, we will respect their wish. But one of our hunters has been missing for a day and we cannot leave before we find him. We also need something to eat again now that you've spoiled our supplies."You tell him that you will see what you can do and return to Nizhoni.Nizhoni: Ok, if they promise to leave then, we can provide them with some meat and fruits. I don't care as long as they leave! I will also join you looking for their missing friend.

You and the Indian girl are gathering supplies for the settlers in the forest as you stumble upon the dead body of the missing hunter lying on the ground. You see a gunshot wound in his back.Nizhoni: Those who did this must be still nearby. Be alert, {PLAYER_NAME}!Then you hear gunshots and see a group of outlaws running straight at you.

Many of my folk would have succumbed to so many foes.Nizhoni: I thank you for coming to our aid... But know that you trespass upon our sacred grounds.Winston: I am sorry, my lady. We were not aware that it would be so. I apologize.Nizhoni: You speak well for your kind. I will not forget your aid... but I must insist that your people leave this wood.Winston: I waited for word of our companion, and we have it -- he has fallen. We will leave your forest and not return, if we are not wanted. You have my word.Nizhoni: Good -- then that is settled! Thank you, outsider.She turns to you: "See to it that the palefaces keep their word. Help them with anything they need before they depart our holy lands.

You bring the hides to Winston and his people. They are grateful, but you notice that Winston is still heartbroken and lovesick.Winston: Please, you must tell me more of Nizhoni. I would give anything to see her again. I have never seen a maiden so fair nor so bold. Do you think they would let me approach their village again, so that I could speak with her one last time? I don't want to leave these woods before I have done so. Why can our people not be friends?One of his men approaches you: "He has been like this ever since his first encounter with that woman. I think she has bewitched him! He pays no mind to danger that my be upon us. I have a bad feeling, {PLAYER_NAME}. I feel that we are being hunted..."You share his feeling and investigate the surroundings. After a while, you come upon an outlaw who has been watching the camp intently for a while. "Trying to stop me from spreading the word of your little camp, are you?", he snarls.

The scout slips away into the shadows: "You cannot stop us. We will take revenge and wipe out the hunters. And then we'll take everything they have! We will come for you!"Oh, oh this does not bode well for Winston and his people.

A lot of bullets fly, it is fierce and gunpowder smoke fills the air. You and the rest of the men try your best to fend off the attackers. Then you see one of the attackers jumping across a barricade and another figure approaching from behind a tree.Nizhoni shouts: Winston, look out!But she is too late. The thug is firing a bullet right through Winston's chest. He drops to the ground. The girl jumps at his attacker and stabs her knife through his throat. "Die!"Nizhoni has slain the attacker, and the rest of them flee. The battle is over, but Winston lies wounded.Winston: Nizhoni? Is it you or am I dreaming?Nizhoni: You fool! Do not move -- you are wounded.Bloody foam appears on his lips.Winston: And yet I am happy. Is it not strange?Nizhoni is tending to Winston's wounds.Nizhoni: There is nothing I can do. It will not be long now. Poor Winston! I was coming to apologize for my coldness from our earlier meeting... if only I had come one moment sooner! This is all my fault.Nizhoni begins to weep. Let us say our goodbyes, dear friend....
