Please excuse the chaos in the saloon. Yesterday three strangers roughed up the place pretty bad. At first they were all friendly, had a few drinks and paid generously. I think they came across some good money lately. Well, the trouble began with poker. Frank was here. I don't think you know him, but he's a card shark. Of course he beat them, badly. First they thought it was just bad luck, but the more rounds they lost, the more annoyed they got. When Frank had yet another full house they accused him of cheating and threw a bottle at him. I tried to stop the fight of course. I grabbed the first guy by his collar and threw him out. Another guy threw a chair at me, but he hit the shelf. After that I reached under the bar and pulled out the shotgun. The two ran away immediately, but last night someone threw a chair though my window. I'm sure it was the three strangers. Maybe you could find out a bit more about them. They are supposed to be panning for gold at the river right now.

Very interesting. They still seem to be around to wait for the man they call Unforgiven. We should really try to find out more.

I've kept my ears open a bit. This guy Unforgiven seems to be gathering people. Everyone that is interested is supposed to come to the forest wearing a black headband pretending to be lumberjacks. You should try to find a black headband. You can find bandanas at the general store in towns. Every town has its own, individual selection, so if you don't find what you are looking for, check the offers in the next town. Or ask another player if he has a bandana for you.

I "coincidentally" ran into one of Unforgiven's men on the street and I found out a few interesting things. Unforgiven is the leader of a group of lumberjacks. A lot of towns are being founded in this area right now and he hopes to bull the market for wood. He and his men try to scare away the lumberjacks in this area. They are even burning down forests.

We could try to lure Unforgiven out of his hiding spot by provoking him. You could cut some wood and sell it to the settlers in the area. I'm sure that will get his attention.
