Wiki The-West EN:Policy

The following is a guide to wiki penalties. We reserve the right to act outside this guide.

Warnings

Warnings are to be given for minor or moderate offences, where the user has no prior ban history. They warrant a one day ban for a minor offence or a three day ban for a moderate offence.

Minor Offences

Minor offences warrant a one week ban. They include offences such as:

• Using a Non-English profile
• Edit Warring
• Using an offensive profile
• Intentionally contributing subjective content
• Tagging their Pages
• Tagging others Profiles

Moderate Offences

Moderate offences warrant a two week ban. They include offences such as:

• Using a highly offensive profile
• Contributing offensive content to pages or discussion pages
• Contributing Non-English texts to pages
• Intentionally contributing incorrect or misleading information
• Vandalising Profiles
• Vandalising a Page
• Unnecessarily deleting information
• Advertising

Major Offences

Major offences warrant a one month ban. They include offences such as:

• Contributing highly offensive content to pages or discussion pages
• Mass advertising
• Mass spamming
• Mass vandalising
• Mass deleting

Instant Exclusion

An instant exclusion is warranted when:

• A user creates an account for the sole purpose of violating the rules.
• A user has (or will have) a total of two months ban time or greater.
• A moderator deems a user is deliberately acting against the building of a community and / or wiki resource.
